We can’t be intimidated

Every member of Congress has both the right and the responsibility to conduct in-person oversight of ICE detention facilities. But Trump's cronies are taking extreme and illegal steps to prevent members from entering detention facilities and sometimes even retaliating against anyone who tries.

My colleague, Rep. LaMonica McIver of New Jersey, has been fighting two felony charges against her for visiting Delaney Hall – the same facility that recently pepper-sprayed Sen. Andy Kim when he visited a few weeks ago.

ICE has been taking cruel, chaotic, and unjustified actions against our neighbors across the country. They are out of control, and I will do everything in my power to stop their dangerous and illegal actions.

The charges against Rep. McIver are purely political and an affront to everyone who respects the rule of law.

Will you stand with me in support of Rep. McIver by making a split contribution between her campaign and mine as we fight Trump's power grabs and work to put the House back in Democratic hands?

I will not sit by while members of Congress, or anyone, is unfairly or illegally targeted by ICE or Trump's Justice Department.
