It's time for Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to go.

This week, the Department of Education (DOE) announced that it will gut two critical programs and move them out of DOE: The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Office for Civil Rights.

IDEA is an educational program, but the Trump administration wants to move it under the jurisdiction of notorious fact-denier RFK, Jr. in the Department of Health and Human Services.

And they are moving the Office for Civil Rights to Trump's corrupt Department of Justice, meaning that "civil rights" will mean what Trump wants it to mean.

These changes will cause chaos and confusion. Teachers, parents, and administrators won't be able to get the help and services they need.

I will do everything in my power to stop this. That starts with ending the disastrous leadership of Secretary McMahon.

This week, I announced my plan to introduce a resolution to impeach Secretary McMahon. Gutting programs that support civil rights and students with disabilities is unacceptable. I have been a longtime supporter of public education, and I know that this administration's actions will harm, not help, kids, schools, and families.
