President Trump’s new “Moms” website is propaganda
Last month, Trump launched "Moms.gov," a government website that is a dangerous bait and switch.
It's supposed to provide "resources, information, and help for new and expecting mothers."
What it actually does is redirect users to crisis pregnancy centers – facilities that use deceptive practices to discourage patients from seeking abortion and reproductive care.
Crisis pregnancy centers often target low-income, vulnerable women by offering free testing, ultrasounds, and baby supplies. They hold themselves up as health care providers and gather sensitive data, but they are not bound to keep that information private.
This is not the kind of care pregnant women need and deserve.
If the Trump administration cared about mothers and families, they would support and expand reproductive freedom, maternal health care, universal preschool and childcare, and paid family and medical leave.
Everyone, regardless of income level, should have access to family planning resources like contraception and comprehensive reproductive healthcare.
As a member of the Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus, I will never stop fighting for reproductive equity and the right of Oregonians and all Americans to make their own healthcare choices.
Thank you for standing with me,
Suzanne
