Freedom, fairness, and security
It was wonderful to speak with union leaders and members and celebrate the 125th birthday of the NW Oregon Labor Council at the annual Labor Day Picnic in Portland.

When working families thrive, so do neighborhoods, communities, and the economy.
And despite the many challenges we face, I will continue to work with partners in the labor movement to build a better future and deliver freedom, fairness, and security for the American people.
I'm fighting the Trump administration and Republicans' attacks on working families, organized labor, and immigrants.
I'm also working on:
- Paid family and sick leave for all
- Raising the federal minimum wage
- Green energy infrastructure projects in Oregon and across the country
- Workforce development and registered apprenticeship opportunities
- Affordable, reliable child care and health care
- Strengthening Social Security so every American can retire with dignity
Unions help make our state and our country a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
With appreciation,
Suzanne
