JD Vance refused

Extremists like JD Vance and Donald Trump are attacking the foundations of democracy – voting rights, ballot access, and even the basic fact of who won the 2020 presidential election.

In front of an audience of millions, JD Vance refused to tell the truth and admit that Trump lost the election. He is fueling the fire for another January 6th-style riot, priming voters to believe that if they lose, it means the election was rigged. This sows distrust in our institutions and in government.

Trump and Vance said they will prosecute political enemies and exonerate insurrectionist conspirators and January 6th defendants. The erosion of democracy starts slow and gains speed fast. We cannot allow these attacks to go unchecked.

The American people know that Donald Trump lost and that JD Vance will say anything to stay close to power. Defeating their dangerous ideas will require all of us doing what we can over the next few weeks: talking to our friends, family, and neighbors; checking in to confirm that ballots are returned; and knocking on doors or making calls in support of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

November 5th is our opportunity to bring back fairness and integrity. When Democrats return to the majority in the House, we will pass legislation that defends democracy, protects the right to vote, and restores confidence and trust in our institutions. I know who I want to hold the gavel on January 6th, 2025 to certify the election: Hakeem Jeffries, not Mike Johnson. Will you please make a contribution of $5 right now to help us make this a reality?

There are tremendous and consequential stakes in this election. Thank you for standing with me,

Suzanne
