Our small businesses

Oregon is home to hundreds of innovative, important, and imaginative small businesses that help our communities thrive. Nonprofit organizations and small businesses employ thousands of workers here in Northwest Oregon, and they drive a significant portion of our economy.

In the last few weeks, I've heard from dozens of small business owners and Oregon nonprofit leaders. They have shared their stories, and told me how the coronavirus pandemic is threatening their mission, their work, and their way of life.

Some help is on the way. I'm glad Congress funded low-interest loans and loan forgiveness through the Small Business Administration – but we need to do more. I will continue to fight for small businesses and nonprofits - and for workers, individuals, families, and our economy.

They will all be priorities as Congress works on upcoming coronavirus legislation.
