a fighter for the people

We are now counting the weeks – and days – until the November, 2018 election.

Across the country, voters will be deciding whether to continue on the current path, which is exacerbating income inequality and threatening our core American values, or whether to choose new leadership and return to the principles of civility and problem-solving that used to guide government.

If we're going to restore the American Dream, we need leaders like Elissa Slotkin.

A third-generation Michigander, Elissa has dedicated her career to serving her fellow Americans. She served several tours of duty in Iraq as a CIA analyst, then did national security work under both the Bush and Obama Administrations. She knows how to work with people of any party to get things done. Now she wants to take her expertise to Washington to get politics out of the way and solve our biggest problems.

Elissa will fight to make sure that everyone has access to affordable health care and prescription drugs. She'll make sure our kids are safe and healthy by protecting our environment, promoting diplomacy, strengthening national security, and investing in our infrastructure to bring real economic opportunity to Michigan.

Last month, I saw Elissa in action when I campaigned with her in Michigan. I can tell you that she's whip-smart, principled, hard-working, and dedicated to doing what's best for the district she hopes to represent.

And she can win. Join me today in supporting Elissa for Congress. I can't wait to serve with her.

Thank you for standing with me – and with Elissa Slotkin.
