Sign the petition: seniors need a cost-of-living increase!

We’ve already had a cold and wet winter in Northwest Oregon. Imagine facing a cut to your income that could result in not having enough money to pay for heat – or or food, or medications. Unless Congress takes action, more seniors who rely on Social Security will confront that reality this year.

With the cost of basic living expenses like rent, food, and medicines on the rise, older Americans whose primary source of income is Social Security need an annual cost-of-living adjustment now more than ever. Unfortunately, for just the third time in the last 40 years, they won't get one this year.

Sign the petition: tell Congress that seniors deserve a cost-of-living increase!

Social Security is a lifeline for people who have worked hard all of their lives and deserve to live with dignity in retirement. We must make sure that Social Security maintains its value over time so seniors can make ends meet. Congress has made small adjustments before - like adding the cost-of-living adjustment in 1975 - and we should do that again. I’m supporting legislation to give Social Security recipients a modest increase this year so their payments keep up with costs.

We need your voice loud and clear on this: let's tell Congress that the American people don't want to stand by and let seniors struggle.

Add your name for seniors today.

With appreciation,
